SHARK BAY, WA.

mentioned previously in the Kalbarri post, we headed over to Shark Bay after visiting Kalbarri National Park. Shark Bay is actually one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites which is especially famous for its Monkey Mia dolphins. it is approximately 838km away from Perth which took us 2 days to get there (we stopped by Kalbarri for a night) otherwise it is a whole 10 hours of drive.

Shark Bay has an area of approximately 10, 000km² so yes, it has quite a number of attractions aside from Monkey Mia.

the first day when we arrived in Shark Bay, we managed to drop by the famous Shell Beach. Shell Beach is made up of tiny shells instead of sand; i have no idea why is it so. however, according to the magazine that i got from the information counter, it is because these shells were once used to build buildings back during the early settlement but later, they demolished those buildings &&& dumped all the shells there.

the beach itself has nothing special other than the shells but it is undoubtedly a beautiful beach with crystal clear water. definitely a must-go if you were to drop by Shark Bay.

after Shell Beach, we adjourned to this random lookout point which overlooks the Indian Ocean. the view is not as spectacular than the one in Eagle Gorge of Kalbarri but still considerably beautiful.

then we drove another an hour or so to reach Denham, which is the only town in Shark Bay. Denham has only a population of 984 people which is pretty sad. i hardly see any youngster in this town, i saw mostly elderly.

without any second thought, this town is really beautiful. from the port itself, you can actually see different shades of sea water colour: blue, turquoise, green. we bought our dinner there before rushing over to Monkey Mia to check into the resort.

it took us another half an hour before reaching Monkey Mia, the dolphin resort. the Monkey Mia dolphins visit the shore daily, at at least three times a day. during each visits, there are at least seven dolphins &&& it can go up to twenty dolphins. these dolphins are wild dolphins that for some reason visit the shore daily. pretty interesting, huh?

after checking in, we spent our whole evening in the beach. really wished to suntan &&& swim there but the beach is that not suitable for swimming there are seaweeds &&& what not. as for suntanning, it was too cold to do so; perhaps summer would be the best time!

there's nothing to do in the night unless you prepare for a BBQ session. so the night was spent in the resort room watching Confession of Shopaholic &&& sleeping early after that.

usually the dolphins will reach the shore by 7.30am, so we got to the shore by 7.10am that morning. then again, it wasn't our lucky day because the tide was especially low that day. so it took the dolphins extra time to reach the shore because there were many seaweeds &&& other obstacles under the sea.

we waited for an hour and half before the first dolphin came which obviously made everyone excited. more &&& more dolphins came later; they started the feeding session soon after that. according to friends of my sister, the Monkey Mia staffs will usually choose those who look scared as volunteers to feed the dolphins. how untrue, those boisterous ones &&& kids were chosen instead.

it is definitely an experience that everyone should have, especially for animal lovers. as you will see in the photos below, the dolphins came very close to us; they were all very friendly albeit being wild.

we had to check out by eleven, so we rushed to shower &&& so checked out. after checking out, we headed to Blue Lagoon which is located in between of Monkey Mia and Denham. basically Blue Lagoon is a natural nursery for whiting, a kind of fish.

pretty breathtaking i must say if you see it from far because the water looks really blue, as in dark blue.

after Blue Lagoon, we continued our journey to Eagle Bluff which is a cliff overlooking again, the Indian Ocean. it has a 100m walkway along the top of the cliff face for you to enjoy the extremely scenic view. &&& also, the water is really shallow at the area so there are chances that you can see dugongs, stingrays, sharks &&& large fishes.

we managed to spot two baby sharks &&& a humongous stingray!

we then travelled an hour to Hamelin Pool Stromatolites. there are nothing much to see over there other than the living rocks which apparently contributes to the oxygen level. these rocks are the oldest living organisms on planet; Hamelin Pool is one of the very few places where these marine stromatolites exist.

it could be a place of interest for people who are interested in science but as for people like us who are shallow when it comes to science, this place is quite a bore.

&&& that was it, our trip to Shark Bay. there are actually more places of interests like Zuytdorp Cliffs, Francois Peron National Park &&& Dirk Hartog Island. due to time limitation, we didn't have to chance to drop by these places.

basically, Shark Bay is a great choice if you wish to just relax. there are actually many Westerners (actually we saw only one other Asian family in Shark Bay &&& they are ABC) who take a slow drive in their caravan along the long stretch of Shark Bay's road as there are many caravan stops. besides, there are so much to explore in Shark Bay! for example, a night or two in Monkey Mia wouldn't hurt because they have activities like sailing, 4WD tours &&& others. so yeah, i actually wish to go back there to explore more of Shark Bay!

truly live up to its UNESCO World Heritage Site title.

POST-EXAM LIFE.

while waiting for Keeping Up With The Kardashians: The Wedding to finish loading on YouTube, i thought i might want to update on my monotonous post-exam life. yes, monotonous, just when everyone thinks that i am actually enjoying wtf how to enjoy when everyone else are still having exam?

told you it was monotonous.

however, there was one exciting thing that happened on Friday night itself. so yeah, since i was really unhappy about the Money &&& Capital Market paper, i thought it would be nice if i were to bring few friends down to SS15 to eat at Snowflake. happy happy happy happy happy until i knocked a divider on the way back wtf damn exciting right? three tyres were damaged but fortunately only one died. so yeah, we spent like almost an hour in changing the tyre wtf thanks Jun Loong *hugs//

oh, it was my second time in less than a month wtf.

MY TOP 5 TREAT LIST.

a wise man once told me that

EVERY CHILD HAS TO HAVE A DREAM.

i seriously didn't know why did he randomly tell me that but yeah, he did anyway. that actually left me wondering for few days until one day, i geniusly understood why! HE OBVIOUSLY THINKS THAT I AM STILL CHILD! otherwise tell me, why would he suddenly tell me that at the first place?

*5 seconds of silence*

what? i know i am no longer a child physically but i am still one deep down inside!besides, i am only 19-year-young this year plus the fact that technically my parents still treat me like a small child so yeah, i am still eligible for that title bluhhh.

&&& since everyone agrees that i look physically older than all the other children you see in the kindergarten, i am allowed to have five dreams instead of one miserable dream! woohoo! oi shut up, don't ask me why i have the special privilege because i just do, get it?

okay lah i can have five dreams because for the Dell's Inspiron 13 competition, Nuffnang wanted five things that i would like to treat myself which IMO are my dreams lah. i mean why would you want to treat yourself something that is not also in your dream list, right?

so there you go, my very exciting randomly-listed top 5 treat list which are all also my dreams!

#1: GET MYSELF A CHANCE TO GO TO TOPMAN'S WAREHOUSE IN UK

because,

i really love Topman.

having the chance to go to their warehouse in UK would be like a child having the opportunity to go to a playground. or to eat an ice-cream. or to go Sunway Lagoon. or to see hot chicks in bikini. okay, kidding about that last one.

ANYWAY,

it would even be better if i can persuade them to let me test on their clothes &&& camwhore with it! it would be even even be better if i can persuade them to give me free clothes especially a free grey skinny jeans haha i know damn greedy but i am just expressing my undying love for Topman.

wow imagine if that dream really comes true.

every Topman followers would come &&& chase me with the skinny jeans to strangle me NOOOES.

#2: VISIT STONEHENGE, EASTER ISLAND &&& PARTHENON

i was reading this travel magazine not long ago &&& i came across this page which says, "7 Places to Visit Before They Disappear".

it was an interesting article which talks about how these 7 places in the world will be closed for visiting because they will soon collapse due to old age/acid rain/soil erosion or other relevant reasons. so yeah, i was quite shocked that the three places that i really wish to go which are Stonehenge, Easter Island &&& Parthenon are in the list!

oh crap.

so i said to myself that i must, must, must go to these three places before they are closed down! otherwise i will regret for ever,

&&& ever,

&&& i can go on saying that two words forever.

oh, is it me or the Moai in Easter Island are extremely cute?

note to Alison: i hate you for going to Stonehenge!

#3: GET MYSELF A DELL INSPIRON 13

i need the perfect light-weight laptop when i study in Australia next year.

the reason why i bought my current laptop was because of its wide screen. however, the thing that i didn't think about before it was the weight. this laptop is quite heavy &&& so when i carry it in the bag, i look like

this.

seriously, when i walk in the university, i look like a moving Leaning Tower of Pisa haha. so yeah, i am seriously in need of a light-weight laptop especially when i am in Australia where i will do a lot of walking with my laptop! i seriously don't want to carry the heavy laptop because i think by the time i come back from Australia for good, my bones will bengkok for good also T___T

so yeah, Dell Inspiron 13 is the perfect laptop for me! it is only 1.8kg which is way lighter than the one i am currently using. not only that, the screen is 13.3 inches wide! wah lao, light + big screen, totally my kind of laptop!

IN ADDITION (yes got in addition somemore), it comes in a total of

7 colours!

7, seven, tujuh, not that Korean singer but that number 7!

i want a red one! i think purple is also chio but red is more omph!

i am sure when i bring this red laptop to Australia, those Australians will turn red instead of staying yellow. get the joke?

(for slow people: Australians = Western people = orang kuning = yellow people)

not only that, it has built-in webcam which means i can skype with my family members anytime &&& anywhere i want! communicating with family is very important when you are studying in overseas!

there are also many other good features which people like me won't understand (too backward when it comes to technology already) but if you guys are also interested in this laptop, you can get more information at here!

#4: ATTEND ONE OF BEYONCE'S I AM... WORLD TOUR SHOWS

when they announced that Beyonce is coming back during 2007, i was extremely happy! it was like a dream come true for an avid Beyonce fan like me, you know?

i have always loved Beyonce ever since her Destiny Child's days!

but then you know lah, they cancelled her show because she is too sexy haha.

two years later, they announced that she is coming again! after hearing this piece of wonderful news, i told myself that i must go to this concert no matter what &&& i must buy the MYR500 bucks ticket!

on a peaceful Monday deciding that i should get her tickets despite failing to find anyone to go with me, they announced that her concert's cancellation on Wednesday. WAH LAO EH, i was super disappointed okay!

looks like my wish of attending her concert in Malaysia will never come true T___T

but it would be the best if kind soul were to sponsor me a pair of tickets to any of her UK shows! i will get the flight tickets myself, you only have to provide me with the tickets!

AFW1300.

part of me really wish that Money &&& Capital Market's paper is next week instead so i can have some extra time to study. my exam timetable was just a tab bit hectic, so i had no enough time prepare completely for that subject, you get? i mean yeah, i did study everything but that was weeks back. i could hardly remember anything, so yeah, there goes my distinction for that subject. there goes credit too,

i hope not wtf.

anyway, i calculated the 3 + 4 marked bond questions wrongly; got tricked by the questions wtf. so yeah, there goes 7/100 down the drain. also, i screwed that question which asked for the reasons for understating price of share which i had completely no idea on although i remember reading it weeks back. there goes another 4/100. all in all, i have 11/100 down the drain, excluding few other questions that i am not sure of the answers.

pure disappointment.

&&& i know, it's just 11/100 right? but seriously, there were many other questions that i wasn't sure of. so yeah, i am really in major trouble unless my MCQ can save me.

blahhh, it's all over already. all i can do now is to stay positive, pray hard. donate your prayers pretty please?

i can see the chance of getting accepted into Clayton is slowly disappearing into thin air. then again, i will just have to wait until the fourth of next month before knowing for sure if i meet the requirement.

ESS: EXAM STRESS SYNDROME.

oh hai!

took the Macroeconomics paper today (or rather yesterday) which i think i did fairly good. whether i might end up scoring the desired grade or not, i cannot guess. after all, economics is all about surprises; you cannot predict the economy conditions though you may have all the relevant information.

two more papers to go &&& by Friday, i will be enjoying sheer freedom for three long months.

yes, just so you know, stress has taken its toll on me.

bad hair, excessive eye bags.

now, now, back to Business Law which is driving me nuts. for those who are taking Business Law this semester too, i have a simply question - is it me or 3(B), 3(c) and 3(d) are a tad bit confusing &&& messy?

hmm.

on a other note, based on a research, expressing your frustration or anger over something is the best way to reduce stress.

so it means, it's complaining time!

read at your own risk wtf haha.

#1: is it me or Hitz.fm morning crew is beyond godlike annoying? i mean, do you feel like their jokes &&& all the prank calls are getting dull? they seriously need innovation zzz. also, JJ's laughters never fail to annoy me for it sounding really like a fake laugh. it's like as if he made up the laugh just to have a signature laugh so that people will remember him better, no? &&& WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO STOP CALLING THEMSELVES THE ALL NEW HITZ.FM MORNING CREW? it has been almost a year (or whatever, don't really care) since Ean replaced Rudy wtf. if something that old is still counted as ALL NEW, i wonder what is old then?

#2: why add random strangers on Facebook? i thought we all learnt that Facebook is something very public &&& it is extremely dangerous to add strangers? god knows what would they do with your pictures &&& etc that you post on profile. geesh, funny people for simply adding/approving strangers just to get more friends in their friends list. don't even know why i feel frustrated when it is their problem but yeah, i just do wtf. &&& just so you know, although my current number of friends stands at 428, i can safely say that i know everyone of them; you can randomly pick anyone in my friends list &&& i assure you that i can tell you how i know them. so don't go saying that i am a hypocrite, you bitch.

okay, done complaining.

&&& just so you know, i totally made that research shit up to find an excuse for me to complain haha wtf. then again, it is pretty destressing though to vent out all these frustrations.

SOMETHING TO REMEMBER.

don't know why

but the urge of wanting to blog keeps flooding into me during this examination period. perhaps it's the stress but yeah, one down, three more to go.

exactly one week ago was the MUSA's appreciation dinner.

other ugly photos of me with excessive eye bags are already on Facebook. i am putting the blame on exam, for making me sleep late at night for the past few weeks.

i have to thank Andrew, Michelle, Lyndy &&& Sarah for persuading me to go for the interview with them. having the chance to work in MUSA is truly an experience that i will cherish for as long as possible. the committee members are awesome too!

on another note,

one year passed just like that.

i can vividly remember the first day of university back in March, where the surrounding of Monash was still alien. now, just when i am already so familiar with the surroundings, i will be leaving by next year.

BORN TO BUY.

i was reading this article just article now &&& it was really interesting, i must say. the title of "Are You Raising A Brat?" caught my attention as i was flipping through the pages of this magazine.

many people, especially Kenny &&& Ainsley, thinks that i am a spoilt brat to which i always strongly disagree. in my opinion, being a spoilt brat means you get rewards for nothing but heck, the things that i get, i worked for it.

or so i believe that i worked for them haha.

so anyway, the article outlined ten signs of children being brats &&& also ways to stop spoiling children. i thought it might be interesting to see if i am a spoilt brat based on the ten signs; after all if i am proved not showing the signs of spoilt brat that is lined out by professional, it is very certain that i am not one, no?

so yeah, the ten signs as lined by Jake Days:

They resort to crying or yelling when they want something.
obviously a no no haha i haven't cry for ages &&& the only reason i yell is to wake my younger sister up haha.

They throw themselves on the floor and won't get up.
if you don't know me, i am probably the most hygienic person around. so throwing myself on the floor is a big no no.

They constantly throw tantrums or even hit you when you punish them.
i throw tantrum only if i get insufficient sleep &&& so happened that you annoy me during that period of time. oh please, i have never &&& never will hit my parents.

They ignore you when you ask a question.
that will only happen if you ask me stupid questions when i have insufficient sleep.

They are rude to other adults and other children.
i am a saint hahaha! but yeah, i am a polite boy unless you are rude to me. like there was once, i shouted at this old man because he pushed me rudely haha.

They refuse to share toys or treats with other children.
i believe in sharing is caring!

They are show-offs and are constantly trying to one-up their peers to be the centre of attention.
i think Ainsley &&& Calvin would slap me if i were to say no because they are constantly saying that i like showing off &&& comparing what i have with the rest. as much as i know that they are probably just to kacau me but i must stress that that is not true. i am more than happy with what i have &&& i never intended to compare with anyone.

the thing is, i know of people who love comparing themselves with me. if you want to compare yourselves with me, then so be it because i know you are out of my league. you may be from a more wealthy family than i am but what is the point of being having it all when you are not happy with the things that you actually have &&& constantly comparing yourselves with other people?

okay i side tracked.

but the point is no, i don't to both the signs mentioned. i am more than happy with my current life &&& belongings.

They always want whatever everyone else has. Once they have it, they want something more.
YESSSS of course i want an LV bag just like Ainsley. YESSSS of course i want the Burberry's wallet that i saw this Indonesian using! but yeah, as mentioned, i am happy with the all the bags &&& wallets that i have.

They keep a messy room and never help out around the house despite your pleas for them to do so.
my room is neater than that of my sister's, so yeah. besides, my house has no maid so we have to do the chores ourselves. i mop the floor once a while! &&& i just wiped the dining table after dinner just now!

They refuse to go to bed.
i am insomniac. or maybe i have anxiety disorder haha.

the moral of the story is,

very obviously i am not a spoilt brat which i believe i have been telling everyone that i am not one. just because my parents pamper me once a while for behaving like a saint, it doesn't mean that they are spoiling me. guess what, my parents hardly bought me any toys last time. &&& most of the things that i am having now like the PSP and handphone, i bought them with my own savings.

so everyone, you know what to not call me anymore; i am being rewarded, not pampered.

feels great after having prove my point based on a professional article.

now i can go shopping because feeling like "heck, i am spoilt" haha kidding. then again, i do have many things to buy especially a nice coat for cold climate! also a nice grey skinny jeans which i am dying to get. time to do hardcore hunting after my finals!

&&& oh, if you are interested, apparently the most important thing in stopping to spoil a child is that the parents have to be parents, instead of being a friend to the child. pretty true actually because i guess your child wouldn't show respect to you if you treat him like a friend. just saying, there are always special cases in everything, no?

THE APPLICATION PENTALOGY.

in case you guys didn't notice from my Facebook's status, on Thursday, i had serious problems sending my application to the Clayton &&& Caulfield campus. i actually sent a total of five applications to the Clayton campus while three to the Caulfield campus wtf. Caulfield's case wasn't that terrible so yeah, this is focused on the Clayton's case:

1st attempt: accidentally clicked SEND without attaching the files FML.
2nd attempt: only 2/4 of the attachments were sent FML.
3rd attempt: again, only 2/4 of the attachments were sent FML.
4th attempt: everything was sent yay

BUT they replied me the next day asking me send another application using my Monash e-mail account FML.

i swear i almost suicide because of this.

why people like Pey Jun &&& Sabrina can send using their personal e-mails but not me? why why why?

oh, did i mention that i am still waiting for their confirmation e-mail? to confirm that they got my application already? some very pessimistic people claimed that Clayton wouldn't want to accept blur students like me, that's why they are not replying me T___T thanks la thanks for making me feeling better.

MAJOR FML.

then again, if everything goes well with my application, i am due to fly on the 15th of February provided if i can get an afternoon flight. otherwise, i would have to fly on the night of 14th T___T the reason why i have to fly that early is because of some enrollment thing which requires us to be on campus by 16th of February. i feel damn emo thinking about this, okay.

KALBARRI, WA.

during my September's trip to Western Autralia, i managed to drop by this place called Kalbarri. Kalbarri is a coastal vacation town located 592km away from Perth; it took us approximately 5 hours to reach there from Perth. as mentioned, it is a coastal town, so it has really beautiful beaches &&& bluffs over-looking the Indian's Ocean. not only that, it has also the beautiful Kalbarri National Park which is of 1830km² (which is almost three times the size of Singapore; i checked Wiki, it says that Singapore has a land area of 637.5km²).

no joking, Kalbarri is probably one of the nicest town ever.

the day when i reached Kalbarri, we checked into our resort (Pelican Shore; highly recommended). the owner suggested that we should head over to Red Bluff for a chance to see whales because apparently whales did appear few days back, so off we went over there.

no whales but the view there was extraordinarily pretty.

both daddy &&& mummy claimed that it looked a little like the Grand Canyon except that this is the seaside version.

after Eagle Gorge, we dropped by the town for a mini exploration. basically the town is pretty small, it has a population of only 1,380 (or so the travel guide claimed), so we actually finished touring within minutes. then again, it has several picturesque places which photos you can access to in Facebook.

as mentioned, the town is pretty small, so we had only limited choices for dinner. after scouting around, we settled with pizzas, nomnomnom. only hung around the resort because it is pretty dark &&& dead in the night, so yeah.

the next morning, after having home-cooked breakfast (they had utensils), we checked out &&& immediately headed to Eagle Gorge which also has extraordinarily breathtaking scenary.

after that, we drove back to the town for the daily pelican feeding which was rather disappointing because there were only seagulls. yes, seagulls as in those who went "MYMYMYMY" in Finding Nemo haha. then again, we did see one miserable fat pelican during the town-touring the day before.

we then drove down 30 minutes to the Kalbarri National Park which we paid AUD10/vehicle. from the entrance, we drove another 30 minutes to the lookout point.

&&& oh, did i mention that we saw a wild kangaroo along the way? the one &&& only one living kangaroo that i saw throughout my 6 days trip! the ones that i saw were all dead, rotting by the freeway haha sad truth but yeah, it is pretty normal that people knock down wild kangaroos in the night as they do not actually have street lights on their freeways. &&& that also explains the existence of kangaroo insurance, cute!

after lookout point, we drove another 20 minutes over to the parking spot for Nature's Window. we had to then walk another 15 minutes, along dangerous cliffs with no fence, to Nature's Window which is basically a natural arch. again, both the parents claimed that the place looks like Grand Canyon, just that prettier. how true is that, i am not sure because i haven't been to Grand Canyon.

&&& if you are wondering if it's hot because the area looks like a very hot area, nope. in fact, it was pretty cooling that day. then again, it is spring we are talking about. apparently during summer, the temperature there can rise up to 46°C, so yeah, apparently also people die of heat stroke there wtf.

&&& that was the end of Kalbarri as after Kalbarri National Park, we headed straight to Shark Bay (which is twice as beautiful as Kalbarri). though my stay in Kalbarri was rather short but i must say that it is really nice. the life of the people there is really slow-moving and peaceful, definitely a perfect holiday spot for people living the hectic life like ME haha.

highly recommended for people who are planning to travel in Western Australia.
